Moving water (on paper) SOLD

$750.00
sold out

When not working on collage I still enjoy painting with oil on canvas and acrylic/ink on paper. Several years ago I painted the creek near my house. I was thinking about how interesting it looked when it moved, not that it was necessarily a painting of water. I was curious to see if I could paint it with loose brush strokes that felt like water.

I painted about 20 of these in various styles and they have been stored in my studio ever since. I don’t frame them and they have never been shown at a gallery.

This painting was completed in 2018 and is painted on heavy archival watercolor paper. Paper size measure 18x24 inches, I have left an inch border around the painting to allow for framing. Acrylic on paper.
